SHEENA CHAWLA
ABOUT
Sheena Chawla is a multidisciplinary artist born in Haryana, based in Ahmedabad and currently in Vancouver. Her practice moves between material and memory, often tracing the emotional architecture of human relationships. Working with fabric, text, installation, and moving image, she explores how intimacy, care, and distance manifest in everyday gestures and lived spaces.
Drawing from personal experiences and quiet observations, Sheena transforms emotional resonance into tactile form. Fabric becomes a site of remembering, of holding and releasing, where softness meets complexity and silence carries meaning.
Her work is an ongoing inquiry into connection and contradiction: how love can coexist with loss, how presence lingers in absence, and how the smallest gestures can hold the weight of an entire story.
